Scoresby is a spacious King size room, on the back of the house on the first floor.

The room is named after William Scoresby
William Scoresby the father was born a few miles from Whitby in 1760, and began his career on a ship trading between Whitby and the Baltic. He became an excellent navigator and sailed the seas hunting for whales. Long hours at the top of the masthead resulted in the idea of a protective ‘Crows Nest’, one is erected in Whitby in memory of his invention.
