Autumn is a great time to visit, you can still enjoy a walk along the beach to Sandsend, or a longer coastal walk, up past the Abbey and onto Robin Hoods Bay. A short drive to Danby and you can pick up numerous walks, enjoying the fantastic scenery, as the leaves on the trees change colours from green, to orange. From Castleton (just passed Danby), you can leave the car in a lay by and have a gentle 20 minute walk to see The Man on the Moor. What a view.
